New Birds
Another trip to the museum this week. This time I borrowed Anna's watercolour paint and tried a few Currawongs with a paintbrush. I like the result. There is a printmaking techique called sugarlift which results in a more painterly quality of line on the plate, I wonder if I could use these images in that way. More things to try out!

They look great. Would like to hear more about that printmaking technique.
You paint and draw beautifully. I love how your drawings and paintings are perfectly imperfect. Not many people can get away with that kind of drawing style, but you do it flawlessly... keep up the great work!
PS: I might be coming down to Rose St on Saturday. I can't wait to see all of your creations in person. Looking forward to it!
Oh absolutely Bridgett, these beautiful painterly birds definately lend themselves to 'sugar lift'...
Looking forward to maybe seeing them!
The Currawongs are just gorgeous; lovely dark and animated. I also love what you have on etsy too!
LOVE these! I've been eyeing off the crows that keep visiting my yard lately, thinking they'd be good to draw, but the currowongs are much nicer. (sound better too...)
You should definately have a go with those watercolours again!
